In the first year of Taihe in the Northern Wei Dynasty (477), it is 47 cm high, 17.5 cm in diameter, and 16 cm in base width. It was unearthed from the Jia Bao Tomb in Datong in 2017 and collected by the Datong Archaeological Institute. This lamp was unearthed from the tomb of Jia Bao, an immigrant from Guzang, Liangzhou (now Wuwei, Gansu). The carvings show the fusion of Buddhism, Xianbei and Han culture. It is a superb work of Pingcheng art.
